Day 0: Pack your backpack

The purpose of this pre-workshop day is to prepare you with the computing environment where we will practice genomic analysis and the essential skills to work effectively in this environment.

Our environment is a cloud-based Linux system with a set of pre-installed tools for the workshop, so you won’t have to use your computer’s resource for the analyses.

In the sub-module 0.1: Setup your workspace, you will be guided to access to this system from your own laptop.

In the sub-module 0.2 Commands & Environments, we will learn about Linux operating system (OS) and the essential skills to run bioinformatic tools on it. After finishing this module, please take a quick Knowledge Check (10 mins) to test your Linux skills.
